Short and sweet: I don't think I like the idea of Google investing $1 billion in AOL, allowing AOL to sell graphical ads within Google searches. It smells stinky.

I almost forgot something: I promised Ed that I would post a link pointing to his Milwaukee Road Trip website. It's an interesting time, that road trip is. But I won't waste any of your time here talking about it - you can read all about it from the horse's mouth.
I figure that it's my duty to let the Internet know that I just tried out beta copy of Google Earth for Mac OS X. And I must say, it is looking really good. I haven't noticed any bugs yet, and it seems to be running at a really nice speed, considering that I'm on a 700MHz G4. If anyone wants to download a copy to evaluate, the links are out there (although working ones are very few and far between). Hint: MacUpdate used to have it posted on their website, but the link on the official page was taken down.
